Golden Reveries : Celebrating our Pollinators
This body of work was created for and shown at a group exhibition show in June of 2025. 'Golden Reveries' was about looking closer at the small but significant creatures that help create beauty and food for the planet. Often overlooked and under appreciated, pollinators are a diverse and extremely important part of our ecosystem.
The artists in this show came together in a mutual love and respect for these creatures, highlighting their importance through painting, drawing, ceramics and fiber arts.
As Robin Wall-Kimmerer says ”Give thanks for what you have been given. Give a gift, in reciprocity for what you have taken. Sustain the ones who sustain you and the earth will last forever.” This always makes me think of the bees.

Behind the Collection
Why do you love Pollinators?
I think the idea of things dying out because there is nothing to carry pollen or a seed is a heartbreaking notion. These creatures, often taken for granted, are so necessary to life on earth, they help create beauty and nourishment for the planet. They are important - big or small (and many being very small) have such a huge impact. Isn’t that beautiful?
